YOUR DETAILS, KEPT TO THE JOB
We collect what we need to deliver your order and nothing more. Here's exactly what that is.
What we collect when you order
Your name, phone number, email address and, for courier orders, your delivery address and any delivery instructions. We use these to process the order, send your confirmation, book the courier and contact you about the delivery.
Card payments are handled by Yoco. Your card details go straight to Yoco and never reach us.
Who we share it with
- Yoco: to take payment.
- The Courier Guy: your name, phone number and address, to deliver the order.
- Resend: our email provider, to send your order confirmation.
- Google: if you agree to the Google Customer Reviews survey after ordering, Google emails you once the order has arrived to ask how it went.
We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used (which pages are visited, and what gets added to the cart) and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to orders. These set cookies only if you tap Accept on the cookie notice. If you decline, or haven't chosen yet, no analytics or advertising cookies are stored. Google may still receive anonymous, cookie-free signals that can't be tied to you.
Your cart and your cookie choice are kept in your own browser's storage so the site remembers them between pages. They aren't sent anywhere.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for five years, as South African tax law requires. Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email info@detailgarage.co.za or message us on WhatsApp. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
